Genjutsu Guide
All Genjutsu must have some noticeable, and reactable, trigger. Hell Viewing Technique, with its swirl of leaves, would be an acceptable Genjutsu. C’s Lightning Illusion: Flash Pillar, with its flash of light, would also be an acceptable Genjutsu. Hashirama’s Bringer-of-Darkness Technique would not be an acceptable Genjutsu as you just make kata and then your opponent is blind.
- Auditory triggers are not allowed due to their power, range, and near-unavoidable nature.
- Genjutsu may not have effects that immediately win you the fight or render your opponent unable to mount any kind of offense. No knocking people unconscious or completely paralyzing them Sharingan style.
- The effectiveness of Genjutsu: Kai will be relative to your rank versus the rank of the Genjutsu you are under the effects of. This is described in the table below:
Your rank is... | You break out of Genjutsu in... | 2 or more ranks lower than technique
| 3 turns | 1 rank lower than the technique | 2 turns | Equal to the rank of the technique
| 1 turn | 1 rank higher than the technique
| End of turn | 2 or more ranks higher than the technique
| Immediately |
