Moon Village
While cities gather in safe oases in the Sun Village, avoiding the desert and burning forests, the towns of people in the Moon Village are more spread out. The people who live here are as tough as the land, strong and driven to work as a team across the entirely large and diverse terrain. The cities here are known as bergs, mostly in order to stand out against the Sun Village. There are residual hostilities which leave the people in the Moon Village to be suspicious and alert around strangers. They have shrines of their own, gods and spirits too, but the main focus in the culture of the Moon Village tends to be communicative and militant. They have an unmatched army of shinobi with training that goes back for generations, full of traditions and honors as well. The people here are known for superior organization, team work, and power. They believe anything worth doing, is worth doing right. Education is focused on history, traditions, and the creation of practical and useful techniques and items.

The Crags
The small middle range of the Hilt Mountains is renowned for its large spike like features and cliffs. The land isn’t easily traveled but the isolated bergs here somehow make it through, using furnace heated stone homes and shepherding goats for food. The land is dry, lacking in both rain and snow, but ranges in temperature from a warm spring day to an icy winter night. There are hundreds of caves and a surprising amount of wildlife which thrive on the cliff sides. Though precipitation is uncommon, a steady stream of melting ice from the top most mountain summits provides cold rivers and plunging waterfalls during the melt season. Prepare to see bears, wildcats, and a multitude of rams and goats. The lower in altitude one travels in the Crags, the more green and forest like the terrain becomes.

Yuki Island
No doubt some bandits or hermits might have made this island home, but by and large the place is known for being uninhabitable. The island is overwhelmed by a large icy mountain but there is a southern portion of the island which used to be used by the Moon Village. The place, and its grand fortress, was abandoned due to the consistent storms from the sea and the snow drifts and slides from the glacier. In the southern portion, a taiga is present, allowing one of a kind creatures like the enormous diamond bears, winter foxes, red eyed rabbits and the herds of pale-striped caribou to survive.

The Frozen Bergs
This 800 square mile stretch of grounds ranges between glaciers in the north, taiga in the central area, and a chilly grassland in the south. The Tail Mountains block both wind and warmth from the Sun Village below, but the grassland is well known for its habitability. The people have many bergs in this area, shifting between weather and seasons and following various herds of animals to survive in the challenging region. The people here tend to be friendly and generous, given that they share and live communally. If you can lend a hand, you earn a seat at their table.

Musk Valley
This land is the low dip of terrain between the Tail Mountains and the Crags of the Hilt Mountain Range. On the southern side of the valley, the terrain meets the Dread Parch Desert of Sun Village’s region. In the shade of the steep Crags and the Tails, the valley is a sigh of relief. It is perfectly temperate, experiencing extreme temperatures and weathers only rarely. There is a dense forest with several meandering rivers and streams, stemming from the mountainous land around them. There are also several trade routes which are well traveled and usually safe during peace time due to the combined efforts of Moon and Sun shinobi.
